A Hungry, Hungry Donkey

It's Urmel this time.

I started my Eselführschein (there is no such word in Englisch) - the closest would be a donkey driving license but as you don't drive donkeys, it doesn't really work.

There are 5 of us taking the course and it was jolly good fun.  When I went for a walk with the donkeys the other day, they were really well behaved.  I think they were showing off for the women today.  That was also quite funny.

I had my appointment with the vein specialist today.  I wanted to get the bus at 4 minutes past 12 which would give me plenty of time to get to the practice.  No rush, no stress, perfect.

But my local bus company put the kibosh on that - it turned up nice and late and continued to up the stress all the way into town.  It left me trying to get across town in pretty hot temperatures in less than 15 minutes instead of the leisurely 25 I had originally planned.  I got there bang on time but sweating A LOT.

The room where I was examined had a roll of kitchen towels, I used about half of them to mop up sweat.  The examination was pretty much as expected.  My right leg and ankle are not in good shape and I need an operation.  Not immediately but before the end of the year and I probably shouldn't fly anywhere.
