Time for a couple of donkey stories.

Emil - the littlest of the donkeys - will make an appearance at the State Theatre on Monday night.  There's a performance of Puccini's "Il trittico" and Emil gets to appear on the stage in part 2. He's done it before and he is a very biddable donkey.  The lights, music, large audience and applause don't bother him at all.

The first of our donkeys who made an appearance on stage was Urmel also at the Staatstheater.  He loved the attention and spectacle SO much he refused to leave the stage.  When Urmel sets his mind to it, he can be a very new definition of obstinate.  Urmel has not been invited back.

Did you know donkeys should never be left on their own?  They form very close social bonds mostly with other donkeys but also with goats.
