Roses

Our first night as a family of four passed without incident. Although Moot tried it on a bit by waking me at 3:30. He got petted and went back to sleep. When we woke up we discovered that Munni had slept behind us next to the alarm. Moot was on the sofa and the getting up bit passed without hissing.

All good.

I spent the day wondering how long it would rain for. It rained the entire time and is still raining. Still we ended the day by visiting our friend KS and going for an awesome veggie dinner. Great fun as always.

On the way to K's we narrowly avoided a brutal looking road accident on the Autobahn. One of those big 4x4 BMWs ploughed into the central barrier and spun across all three lanes before ending up on the hard shoulder. As we slowly passed we could see the front end was totalled. But all the doors were open and people had stopped to help. Frightening.

Of course after we passed the accident, pretty much all the drivers adopted that "well I'm a brilliant driver and although it's pissing with rain, I'm going to steam off at 160 kph" attitude.

I've blipped these roses before (different colours then though), they're in a big bowl in the entrance to the restaurant.
