Lunch at Okan

On the train and up to London today. Headed along the South Bank to the National Theatre for a coffee - our timing was great as we got there just before a thunderclap and the heavens opened - amazing how much rain came down.

Had lunch at an amazing little Japanese place that Adam and Tomoko had found close to Waterloo. Tiny place, in typical Japanese style, serving an Osakan dish called okanomiyaki, which is delicious - see extra. A sort of pancake with noodles.

Then headed over to the British Museum for a mooch around while we waited until it was time to head over to A&T’s flat in Stratford where we’re staying for a couple of nights. Travelled by the new Elizabeth Line - very nice and not too busy. Got to their flat just as they were finishing work - the weekend can begin properly.
