Mother was correct in that in our family, the metabolism slows around 40. Therefore there has been some…widening…in recent years and some challenges fitting into previously possessed swim shorts. I eventually found some new trunks in Maputo, harder to locate than I expected given that Maputo residents enjoy the beach.

The design is interesting: a combination of war-mongering, skeleton-admiring and drug-promoting. But beggars can’t be choosers when they’re in the throes of middle-aged spread.
