Misty Newburgh

For their last full day Le said they wanted to visit ‘the beach’. They’d been told that UK beaches were all stones or mud. Of course we had to show them the ones here.

Unfortunately there was a thick mist today (the top of this photo is white because of mist, rather than a styling choice) but we still made the trip to Newburgh. When we’d visited previously, by chance, the tide was always out. Today it was very much in. So instead of walking along the sand collecting shells we followed the dunes and collected stones. Kara was more than happy with that but we still made a couple of sandcastles along the way.
