Family celebrations

After a really good night's sleep in Hoddesdon Jon and I woke quite late. We had breakfast with mum, then started to make our way home. We stopped in Melbourn to see Jon's mum. His dad is in hospital at the moment. He needs his gall bladder to be removed, and is on the list, but in the meantime, is in a lot of pain and being treated. We spoke to Sal who updated us on the current position. His mum was at the hospital when we dropped in, so we didn't see her, but we will catch up by phone.

We stopped at tesco to pick up a few bits, then home at 3pm to an empty house. We showered, changed then tidied up a bit. Henry was at a work bbq at his bosses house, but Mollie, Josh, Dan and Viki joined us for pizza in the garden. A nice social time followed by a fire until it was too cold and dark to be out there. Henry got back in time to join us for strawberries and cream. It was so nice to be outside, and at last to experience some sun.

Now bed...
