Castlerigg Stone Circle

What a contrast after yesterday. Rain all day today. We arranged to meet our friends who are staying locally and walk up the Keswick to Threlkeld old railway line and back via Castlerigg Stone Circle.
We had lunch at Threlkeld Village Hall, where there is a very good cafe run by a Community interest group.
It’s just as well we had arranged to go out with them or the temptation to stay in in the dry might have been too great.
An 8 mile walk.
