Wisteria

I suppose I should be grateful for some wisteria blooms, given the disaster last year. I wasn’t sure it would recover at all. What is weird that on one branch of the white wisteria was a purple stem! How does that happen? It’s always been all white! 
Last year I ruthlessly cut the miniature lilac tree and it paid off, looking and smelling lovely now.
