An Unfinished Project (DS349)

We have travelled over to Peterborough (Ferry Meadows) to meet up with Gill's sister and her husband on their new site.   On the way we stopped off at Lyveden, a National Trust place near to Oundle. 

A sad story of the Tudor times with the suppression of anyone wanting to follow the Catholic faith.  This was to have been a hunting lodge but was never completed. 
In the extra, a discarded eggshell in one of the sockets for a beam supporting one of the lower floors.
