a lifetime burning

Damselflight

I thought I would have a go at taking a photo of one of the recently emerged damselflies in flight, but the head isn't sharp enough really.  I also now realise that I need a considerably faster shutter speed if I'm going to get the wings to appear clearly.  Either that or I am going to need to use flash.  Ideally I think I want to try to get the wings to be frozen without any blur if I can.

These things fly so erratically that I'm not sure how easy this will be, but I shall have another go when the conditions are right.

There's an extra of a bee in flight and of a goldfinch, both frozen at 1/32,000th of a second so its definitely possible.
