The Fair's Back in Town

Just managed to get a walk around the park at lunchtime, while it was only drizzling a bit.  The Pat Collins Fair is setting up in the park and this young lad was looking at the rides.  I'm sure he will enjoy going on some of them when it opens.

We also bumped into to some surveyors and council workers.  I'd read somewhere that some money had been allocated for improvements in the park.  One of the workers was able to tell us that these include a 3G pitch, new pavilion and cafe, solar lighting on the track that runs around the edge and some other improvements.  An 18 month timescale for everything to be completed.  It's good to see some investment going into local amenities.

Tonight was again badminton and it was full on for two hours with no sitting off at all.
