Brown falcon

We were sitting outside the shack minding our own business, chewing the fat, as you do, and this brown falcon dropped in looking for some food in the grass.  Fortunately my camera was right next to me so I grabbed this shot.

We went on an amphibious zodiac today up to Sunday Island and through the Buccaneer peninsula.  Such a different landscape.  We had a local guide who told us what it was like growing up in the region.  He was a lovely chap.  Coming back we were in time to see some of the forces of the tides as it was going out.  The difference in tides is around 9 metres and when it goes out, it doesn't muck around.

The extra is from the drone which shows Cygnet Bay.
