SORTING OUT ON SILLY SATURDAY

Hello Lovely Blippers,

We should be out in our summer clothes by now, but it is so chilly and grey today that we kept all our coats and hats on - how silly is that in May!

We decided that as we help Mrs. HCB so much, it was time for us to give Mr. HCB a hand in the garden.  He has such a lot to do in the greenhouse and garden that he doesn’t get much chance to tidy up the messy corner, so that’s where we started.

We told him we wanted to get rid of all the bits of wood, the bamboo canes, the rocks and the black bin bag, but he said he might need all of that and especially the bin bag as it is full of leaves, which will eventually turn into leaf mould - he got that from his Dad, who always collected leaves and did the same thing because he said it was good for the garden.

Well, we didn’t argue with him, but decided that we needed a photograph just to prove that we had helped Mr. HCB for a change.  Mrs. HCB was whingeing and saying how cold it was, but we told her that if she helped us then she would soon get warm.

Hoggy, meanwhile, was looking for places to hibernate as it was so cold, but we told him that was very silly and it is sure to get warmer soon.  We think that it would have made Admirer giggle and of course, we do still remember her with great affection because she started off this whole Silly Saturday thing.  We do miss her and we are sure her family and friends do too, but we hope she realises how much she was loved because we dedicate our Silly Saturday blip to her every week.

Take care, lovely Blippers, and we hope you have a good weekend - don’t worry, the warm weather will soon come and then we will be able to show you all the lovely flowers in their garden that Mr. HCB has grown from seed.

With love from us all,
The Silly Saturday Gang xxx

P.S.  Mrs HCB asked us to say how sorry she was that she didn't comment at all yesterday - but she sat down in her chair at 8 o'clock and didn't wake up until 11 o'clock when Mr. HCB was going to bed!  However, she does thank you all for your kind comments on the painting.
P.P.S.  She slept until 8 o'clock this morning so she must have been very tired!
