Lone Bee

Gosh it's been chilly.  Heavy cloud and a cold breeze have made it quite miserable.

It's our son's birthday today but he's at an athletics meeting in Watford with elder grandson, so celebrations will have to wait.

I've spent most of the day in the greenhouse potting up plants and seedlings, and I persuaded JJ to get out the ladder to cut back the sprouting branches on the lime tree.

One of the robins kept a close eye on what we were doing, hoping we'd dig up a few worms I expect.  Their youngsters are probably due to fly the nest fairly soon.

We're going out for dinner with a some of our neighbours this evening, trying the new Ghurka restaurant in town.  It'll be a lively, and expensive, evening.
