Cruciata laevipes

The vibrant stems of Crosswort in the grass verge caught my attention. I'm a big fan of lime green.
Spent a couple of very productive hours on the plot early morning. I had visitors... 2 cock pheasant, & hen bird. Just waiting to see what juicy morsels I had to plant. They were out of luck. I was lifting the last leeks of the 2022 plot crop. Jane, a longtime friend has just arrived home from Barbados to visit her parents. She paid some ridiculous price for 2 leeks back in the Caribbean so I promised I'd hang on to some for her. I gave a couple to an elderly gent who I see most mornings on my newspaper run.
