The Egg Box

I don’t know if this was another of BT’s Adopt-A-Kiosk examples that turn old phone boxes into new community treasures, but this is one of my favorite-ever conversions as a local fresh egg dispenser.

Myself and MrsB decided to skip Knutsford’s delayed May Day parade and fair mahem today and head instead to explore a new walk on a sunny Morecambe Bay.

After listening to Radio 4’s The Patch feature Sunderland Point earlier this year, we went to walk along the tidal causeway that serves it. The ‘point’ is actually a small peninsular whose main road is cut off twice daily when spring tides are high enough.

Having only just finished ‘Where The Crawdag Sings’ this week as part of my local book club, the backwater, sea marsh feel along with the sound of gulls and oyster catchers felt oddly familiar.
