Fishing with Ginger Parkin

It was way back on 16th May 2012 I blipped about “Heaven and Lemon Drizzle” whilst fly fishing the River Wharfe on the Addingham Angling Association beat. Today, I was in the exact same place doing the very same - except that just over 13 years had passed, and yet my fishing skills seem to have remained at ‘intermediate’. I was suddenly reminded of a lovely home-made Lemon Drizzle cake and flask of coffee my mum had made for me to take back then when she was aged 80. Today, I called in to have a coffee with mum enroute and as I was leaving, was handed an already opened packet of bought-in Ginger Parkin. Now 93, and living alone, she needs carers calling in 4-times a day to make sure she is safe and fed, but still she is my great cake provider whenever I am fishing.
