White "EPO''

Last night I was told about a new colony of 'about six' orchids that a friend had found in the woods. I set off with a set of vague directions but actually stumbled across them quite soon. Remarkably they were actually quite close to my butterfly transect but I'd never noticed them before. I stopped counting at 35 flower spikes of early purple orchid. Unusually there were a lot of bi-coloured (white/purple) ones and a few all white ones. So, as promised yesterday, here is a white early purple orchid - though not the one I expected to photograph.
