NatureDiary... Little Mouse Crown cactus
I've had this small cactus for decades and it never ceases to surprise me as I do very little for it. A very occasional light sprinkling of water and an even less frequent watering with a little bit of fertilizer in the water is about all I give it. Every season I think I should perhaps re-pot it, and then up pop a cluster of tiny orange buds and I know I have to leave it until it's finished flowering.
Yesterday there were some signs of buds forming, and overnight...Wow! one bud has opened into a beautiful big flower! And today there are little buds appearing all over this beautiful little plant.
Well done Little Mouse Crown!
