Now, as I see it......

Sculthorpe

This morning we met up with Bom at the Hawk and Owl Trust at Sculthorpe.  Bom is a member and kindly took us round using her guest passes.  A lovely place to walk and see birds and, if you are there at the right time, beavers!  There is a beaver enclosure within the park but it is only accessible with a guided walk and, of course, beavers being nocturnal there would be little chance of seeing them.

We saw lots of birds and recorded many more on the Merlin app.  One hide near some feeders was where I took this shot of a Collared Dove and also the extras.  The first extra is a Bullfinch but as it and the bird in the second extra kept coming to the table together we (or at least, I) assumed it was a female Bullfinch, especially given the similar black head markings.  However, looking it up when we got home the female looked quite different so after a bit of research it would appear to be a Reed Bunting, which I can't say I've ever seen before.

Happy with these shots, but Bom has a much better lens than mine so it's worth looking at her Bullfinch shot.
