A Long View

After a morning of mainly outdoor tidying jobs, Angela messaged to see if I wanted to walk in the afternoon.  I have lots of tasks which need doing in the house, but you have to make the most of the sunshine when it's here so I said yes and we decided on a circuit of the Moor coming back down Altar Lane and in to St Ives.  The views from the top of the Moor, where I took my blip, were clear and long.  Indeed if you look at the distant horizon you can see Flasby Fell with Ingleborough behind it.  Down in the valley is Keighley with the Aire Valley stretching away to the right.  The beginnings of Oakworth are on the hillside opposite.

Passing along the other side of the wall, outside the Estate, we could hear the lumberjacks at work and indeed one was up a tree taking off the higher branches.  It was quiet in the Estate when we came back in  and the Cafe, where we paused for ice creams, must be affected by the partial closure for the felling.  Hopefully it will survive.
