Copenhagen to Västerås (Sweden)

We slept well again and MrMacD was improved but not 100%.  We went down to breakfast and got talking to an Australian couple.  He used to be in the armed services and they lived in Denmark, west of Copenhagen.  It’s a nostalgia trip for them.  They were leaving Copenhagen today to drive to Herning.  The European Dog Show is being held there and Australian friends are exhibiting there.  After breakfast we finished packing and walked to the station.  Our train to Malmö left on time at 10:07.  We changed at Malmö for a train to Norrköping.  This is the longest leg of our journey today at just over three hours.  We arrived at Norrköping bang on time and had time to get a coffee and a muffin to share before we set off on the last leg to Västerås.  We arrived in Västerås bang on time and I had tears in my eyes as I hugged my friend for the first time in seven years. We have so much to catch up on.  The next few days are going to be very special.  And the weather looks to be improving so we should have sunshine over the next few days.  What could be better.  We had a lovely home-cooked meal and talked a little about what we’ll do over the next three days.  In the morning we’re going to have porridge for breakfast.  Bliss.

The blip shows train stations and sights along the way.  The main photo I took as we stepped off the train in Västerås.
