And the clock struck 4

The clock being the restored clock tower housing Big Ben whose resonant chimes rang out as  I took the photo. I was in London to chair an appointments panel. I walked back to Waterloo from Petty France through St James's Park where the squirrels (the grey variety) were enjoying the attention of the tourists. There was quite a noisy demo going on in King Charles Street protesting the persecution of Tamils in Sri Lanka. The police didn't seem that bothered. Meanwhile, Westminster Bridge and the Southbank leading to the London Eye were rammed full with tourists enjoying a sunny, warm spring day in London town.
