Completing beauty....

Packed audience at Dynamic Earth for Edinburgh Lectures tonight - 'Ecology of Place' from the fantastic Dalziel + Scullion. So busy, seating had to be increased & registration was rather hectic!

Many brilliant things about the lecture: the specially commissioned loupe for each audience member to enable the call for 'citizen naturalists' to arise; the hypnotising soundtrack of water, beautiful music & the voices of the artists; the reminder that it is too easy to forget the wonder of life; the feel of a place through bare feet; the idea of contemplating & becoming part of a place and 'completing beauty'.

Feeling the need to head down to the New Galloway forest or up to Findhorn Bay with my loupe & can't wait to see the Rosnes Benches project in Dumfries & Galloway!

Oh - and there's an Alien Invasion exhibition on at Dynamic Earth just now - I will be going back!
