Flowers and kookaburras

For Flower Friday I decided to find some flowers that may not be common outside Australia. I found an Australian native called a Cardwell which is a weeping evergreen shrub. During winter the shrub will be so abundant with white flowers that they hang, thus the term weeping shrub.

As I ventured on, the search for flowers ended by the discovery of a kookaburra. I have posted this iconic Australian bird in the past but it was not a clear shot and close up as these ones.

If you are not familiar with a kookaburra’s sound / laugh then I suggest you check it out on goggle. I love to hear the kookaburra singing in the distance. I think most Australian’s do.
