Chaffinch

Today's the day ..................... to drop in

A search on the internet will tell you that the chaffinch is one of the most widespread and abundant birds in Britain and Ireland.

They can be seen all year round in woodlands, hedgerows, fields, parks and gardens - in fact, basically anywhere.  The funny thing is that, until this year, they weren't all that common in our garden.  So we're rather pleased to have them around, especially when they are looking so colourful at this time of the year.
