The Lozarithm Lens

The Woodland Garden (Thursday 18th May 2023)

Wednesday's Extra showed a general view of the Driveway Patch, so for the following blip I went up close to one of the alliums with a zoom macro lens. There have been far better blips of cornflowers than the one I took in Extras, but whereas other, more accomplished photographers than I have used focus-stacking, HDR, tripods, extension tubes, reflective screens and the like I simply stood above one, bent forwards, focused on the stamens and clicked the shutter.

Most of the day was taken up with time-consuming things to do with car purchase, mainly insurance, driving licence renewal and home charging device complications, made more so due to not having the car yet and not knowing what I'm doing.

The second Extra is an image of the elegant Loki, sent to me by C.

Lozarithm's Lozarhythm Of The Day:
Eighteenth Day of May - Dawn (2005)
For obvious reasons chosen for this day. The band were only around for a couple of years and made one excellent self-titled album, which I'm surprised to find I have not drawn from on previous LOTDs. This a version of a song by the Brian Jonestown Massacre, written by one of their members Anton Newcombe, not from the album but first released as a CD single B-side.
