Last of Autumn Days

The hail came last night and the bitterly cold wind today, snow on the mountains - the last of autumn greets the onslaught of winter down on the river bed.

The mountains in the middle with the most snow are the bottom of the Torlesse Range, slightly to the right is Mount Oxford with the Puketeraki Range following on.

This is probably best viewed large.

The talk around the town today was 'Will the snow arrive overnight?'. Daughter E called in last night to collect her snow boots, she's hopeful and for the first time I would rather not as I fly tomorrow - please no delays!

Keep warm and well blippers, I'll catch up soon from another destination :)

PS If your keen to know where take a wee peek at my one year ago blip.
