Flossmo

Gardeners' friends

This morning we took ourselves off to a plant sale at a local college for children with special needs. It was done as a bring and buy although we didn't actually bring anything. But we did buy. What a brilliant way to raise funds, we happily parted with £15 and bought quite a few bits and bobs from an excellent selection of plants. The stone hedgehog was sitting along side one of the access paths at the college. We then came back to Farnham and managed to complete a couple of other small errands.

After lunch we got out into the garden and moved a few plants and planted some of the new ones. Fingers crossed we don't lose anything. It was very pleasant in the sunshine, if anything a bit too warm for exertion.

After a small nap I worked on volunteer stuff and then made one shepherd's pie for dinner and another three for the freezer. Okay, I'll own up, I bought ready prepared soffritto from Waitrose this morning which avoided the hassle of chopping onions and celery and carrot and I baked the potatoes for the topping and mashed them (or rather Mr Flossmo did) complete with skins. Perhaps I should rename it lazy person's pie. Whatever, it tasted very good.
