A reference to these  two may explain a few things?
One gives an idea of how gloomy this area was before "The Operation"
The other shows how next door's greenery forced our Crocosmia Lucifer to heel over prematurely and kill that corner's grass.

This I want to record the Hellebore and the way it was so desperate to survive it even reached out towards the light.

Another "missing Alice" moment.  I can not remember, either what colour it flowered OR if it ever did after being consigned to The Gloom.
