Against Blue

As often is the case, movement attracted my attention. On zooming in, I found a pair of goldfinch snacking on seeds from last year's wildflowers in the prairie, down by the inlet. Even though they are partially overlapped by stalks, I liked this frame because it has both of them together (the only one I managed).

I liked the colour contrast of the yellow birds against the blue water behind. Given how small they are in the shot, that seemed important to get them to stand out.
