Au revoir Bessie

One of my horses Bessie has been “free to a good home” ever since her retirement from racing so today Justin, the local farrier and his partner Amy came to collect her. Although Bessie is a lovely mare to handle and load on a truck, her record of loading on small floats is appalling - she’s not nasty or particularly dangerous, she’s just uncooperative and easily spooked around floats.
After trying most of the usual tricks she finally relented and according to the last report, she traveled to her new home nearly a hour away without any trouble.
