Well!

This is Seathwaite Valley, a valley off Borrowdale.  It is famous for being the wettest inhabited hamlet in England.  On this evidence you wouldn't think so.  The fields are green, but the river is nearly dry.  I haven't seen this as early as this.  Some water is following but you could describe it as a trickle.  What you see here is the river Derwent.
I checked the flowers in the extra of yesterday and I think they are 'African Daisies' or osteospermums.
