Blip meet up

It was good to  meet up with fellow Blipper and friend Flavia 13 at Roa Island. It was a bit breezy but perfect for Fletch ( not too hot)
As we sat taking in the view across the sea to Piel Island we got chatting to a photographer. It turned out he  has done the same AYWMC course as us and in the same online EDPS photo group. Nice.

Roa Island is small and one of the paths that went through the old Custom House was blocked off . A shame  but that didnt stop Fletch wandering over.
We then wandered down the old causeway which is covered in Thrift (armeria maritima)
They were blowing vigorously  in the wind, but I had to get a few photos.
It was low tide  so no ferry to Piel. It doesnt look very big ( extra)
We then moved down to Rampside for a spot of lunch and then another wander along 'the beach' which is now grass rather than sand. Main photo is of the Leading light ( the last of 13) built in 1875 to help guide ships into Walney Channel
Another extra is of Rampside Hall  with its row of chimneys and dates back to the 17th century.

The weather was kind and the company was great. A lovely day
