Views and more waterfalls!

Monday 15 May
The forecast for the day wasn’t too great, so we made sure we had our rain gear with us, though in the end we didn’t need it on our hike. Today’s hike was in the Panthertown valley, and took in two more waterfalls, School house Falls, and Granny Burrell Falls, but also included a few good viewpoints, and lots of North Carolina flora, which I have included in my extra collage. The top left photos are Schoolhouse Falls, which has a lovely pool at its foot, which would be a lovely place to cool off on a hot summers day! Top right is Granny Burrell Falls. Lower left is Mountain Doghobble. The weather stayed dry for our hike, but just as yesterday, it started to rain soon after we returned to the camper, only this evening, it wasn’t just showers, but a string of thunderstorms passing through, fortunately stopping shortly before bed time - the sound of heavy rain on a camper roof makes quite a racket! It was a good evening for staying in and playing some games!
