A proud mum

This swan has been sitting on her eggs at Strichen lake for the last six weeks or so and eventually they started to hatch in the last 24 hours. There is still at least one to emerge as you can see.
Such attentive parents and in many ways the hard work starts now, guarding them from any potential predators.
I hope they all make it.
