Strathpeffer day

This is the season of the hare, that mystical beast. Only this morning we saw three beside the road, which is obviously incredibly lucky. I certainly feel incredible. Anyway ...

To Strathpeffer Pavillion for the Wool Fest. Not that I'm into crochet, but Mrs Oons is, bigly. I was keener on talking to Stevan and Helen of Ripplescrafts, who live off grid yet just bought an electric car. How's that work, I wanted to know? Perfectly well, apparently, as long as you're chilled.

And hares were the theme of many of the craft items we saw. Here's a felted wool model, which was interesting but not £185 interesting. We did buy a tremendous birthday present for No1 grandson, which you can see the week after next.

In extras, the Strathpeffer Station (no trains) café, giving a new meaning to sitooterie; and the concert going on at the bandstand when I went in to suss out the deli. It's all happening here man.
