Today has been a delight: T & Ian's wedding day.

Met up with M&C and S&N in Bristol, parking early to avoid issues with a nearby football match, and to have a meal together before the church service.  The service itself was perfect for the couple.  Over the last few years we've been part of the wide support group that have helped T step away from an abusive marriage, and worse.  That there is so much joy in this slightly blurry picture is a huge delight for all of us.

Although performed by a real vicar this (hopefully obviously) isn't the actual wedding service but a fun 'pirate blessing' as part of the reception entertainment.  Not exactly sure where the pirate theme came in but Ian is a singer with the Port of Bristol Shanty Crew (also part of the entertainment) so there is at least a naval link.
