Iris

No photos from last night’s gig and it’ll be too busy tonight to blip, so a shot of the newly flowered Irises in our garden will have to suffice!
A great night last night. Only the second time we’d played in Kendal, the previous occasion being Boxing Night. Actually, two of the band had never played there and we were missing one guitarist who was playing at the Call of the Wild Festival with his other group, so it was almost like a new band playing.
Didn’t seem to put anyone off though. We had a good crowd who were happy to dance throughout both sets. So enthusiastic were they, we even did a rare encore number! From a purely selfish point of view, I hope we get more gigs in kendal.
A quiet day so far. Coffee and cake in town this morning, followed by a nap as I tried to catch up on lost sleep. I did the ironing whilst listening to Sounds of the 70s and then it was time for an early tea. It’s always a good gig at the Piel Castle in Ulverston, but it will also be very hot and very crowded. But the authorities have recently clamped down on loud music after midnight, so at least it shouldn’t be too late a finish.
Definitely going to be a day of doing nothing tomorrow.
