Yellow rattle with buttercups and daisies

This afternoon F and I went for a walk that included some wildflower meadows.  There were lots of different common wild flowers including yellow rattle, a semi parasitic flower that feeds on the nutrients of grass so is useful for reducung it (and making room for more flowers to grow.

We also saw Holly Blue, Common Blue, Orange Tip and Scarlet Emperor butterflies.  A lovely walk for a sunny day.
