Fluff

The air circulating around the garden was full of fluff all day. It didn’t take me long to track down the culprit - a willow tree (goat willow, I think) whose catkins had developed into woolly seeds and these were now being spread far and wide on the breeze. Where they got trapped in sheltered corners they made a soft downy blanket. I hadn’t noticed this on such a scale in previous years.
