All Day Play

... is the brainchild of a young mother in Grantham, who runs a business which brings joy, delight and learning to 8s and under. Mostly, pre-school children. Today, being half-term holiday, there were a couple of older youngsters with their pre-school siblings. Little Miss B giggled at the result of a science experiment, while baby bro watched from his portable car-seat. I suspect washing-up liquid and bicarbonate of soda were involved.

My Extra shows a rather blurred image of two infant hands doing repeated 'high fives'. Little Miss B has taught her baby brother how to do them. He responds immediately to both the word 'hand' and 'high five', thrusting his flat hand forward repeatedly, while his sister returns the gesture, saying, "HighfiveHighfiveHighfive..." etc. She is thrilled that he's able to play with her at any level, and can't wait for him to grow. He's of the same mind. He's discovering the joys of finger food and manipulating spoons of such as prune puree into his mouth, not to mention Farleys Rusks, which makes his Gramps PP quite envious, with happy memories from his babyhood!
