My topsy-turvy life

DANGER KEEP OUT

To give Louisa space to do some work, Owen took me out for the day.

First stop was Snailbeach and wander around the old lead mine buildings. Then, after a snack stop, we headed up the hill to more old mine buildings and then further up again to the big chimney. After all that exploring we carried on up the path through the bluebells on to the meadow and up to the top for a -windy- picnic lunch*. Owen did brilliantly walking all that way on his own and even decided we should walk a different way back down to the car. So, we headed off along the path to the farm, following the sound of the sheep before chatting to a farmer about his cow on the road back down to Snailbeach.

Part 2 was a request to go to Mad Hatters soft play in Church Stretton -any excuse for coffee, cake, and ice cream- and we had the place pretty much to ourselves. 2 hours later and Owen still didn't want to leave.
At least the day tired him us out!
