Oxford / Thrupp

This is a late posting, yet again!

Apologies, I am still way behind responding to fellow Blippers’ lovely comments and dipping into blippers’ journals.  I’ll catch up as and when I can.

We woke about 7:30am, tried to catch up on a few emails, then got up and went for a short walk along the canal.  It was lovely and peaceful at that time of the morning.  We had breakfast as soon as we got back then showered and changed and set off for Waterperry Gardens, where we had a light lunch sitting in the sunshine.  After lunch we looked at the outside of Waterperry House and St Mary the Virgin church in the grounds next to the house.  A walk through the various gift, art, and craft shops as well as the garden centre followed.  There were so many beautiful things and we were very tempted by some of them.  Thank goodness we’re travelling light!!  Back at home we sat outside in the sunshine enjoying a glass of Champagne, then retreated inside to prepare supper when it got cold.  We all retired early after a most enjoyable day.
