early morning on the launch field

we had an early start with a 5.15 briefing then with a prediction of fast winds on the way a rush to get balloons launched for an early morning flight. About half of the 120 balloons at the weekend event flew this morning, but not the one we were crewing for as we have a trainee pilot who quite wisely decided to practise on the ground instead. We haven't crewed since before covid and I enjoyed the buzz on the field at the time this photo was taken with what seems like a jumble of balloons and vehicles at various stages in the process all closely packed in the field but somehow managing not to get in each others way.
