Big Ted

Following on from Paul Lapalmyre's blip the other day of his childhood teddy, here is mine.

Big Ted (imaginatively named, I know) But come one, I was little!

Big Ted was made for me by a friend of my maternal grandmother. He was my friend and confidant, companion and travel partner. Wherever I went, he went. He usually lives in a natty blue jump suit that my Grandma knitted for him, to help keep his stuffing in. You can also see no end of sewing and stitching to keep him together that went on through the years. To that end, some 40 years later he is rather tatty, and now lives in a cupboard out of the way.

I hope Oliver grows up feeling the same about his Eric
