Guernsey Ka

Another day!

Today as often happens wasn’t as I imagined.
I woke to a load of washing ready to put on the line, and put in a 2nd load, hubby took them out and I hung them both on the lines, so far so good. My tummy was very sore but I would mention that to the nurses as I was hoping they’d take the rest of my staples out. So far so good, I had my shower and got ready, put on my binder and off we went. When I saw the nurse everything changed, she was concerned about the swelling and so they called in one of the Specialists to check me over, eventually I had to go to A&E as the surgeon that did my operation was on call there. We were there hours! And hours, but I had a CT scan with contrast to enable the surgeon to check what was wrong, along with full set of bloods. So the plan is now that the surgeon has seen the results, tomorrow I will have an aspiration of my tummy under Ultrasound scan, to remove the fluid/blood, that shouldn’t be there and then hopefully the next day 3 weeks since the operation I can have the rest of the staples removed. But, I’m grateful that it’s not as bad as I thought on seeing and feeling my swollen tummy, probably why it’s been so painful.
When we got home at 20 to 5 after having nothing to eat since 7am, my first thought was lunch and hot drink, but I saw this Rose and was grateful again for my garden Roses.
