River of Flowers

Monday: #30DaysWild - On the Beach

Weather continues fine and settled, wind still northeasterly and chilly … no rain :-((
Appointment for blood tests and blood pressure, just routine as part of medication review.
Quick shop at the Co-op for milk and fresh veg.
Took a detour on way home and went down to Red Wharf Bay - lots of tourists around, tide was in and the easterly wind was blowing the surf onto cars in the car park, I found a space further around by the cafe - didn’t want my nice clean car splashed by salt water :-((
The grass everywhere along the beach and spit is scorched and brown, growing in sand and no rain must be pretty grim - even the pink Sea Thrift looking very sad and scruffy - see today’s extras …
Main Blip of pink flowers of some sort of tree mallow and lots of this yellow flower which might be a sort of brassica?
I enjoyed the walk but was quite tired this afternoon.
Made pakoras for our dinner this evening with boiled rice, mint sauce (plain yogurt, fresh garden mint and juice of half a lime) which was a nice change.
Watching “14 Peaks: Nothing is Impossible” on Netflix, recommended by our T and very exciting :-)
Nos da pawb / goodnight all xx
