Day 3  The sound of cowbells could frequently be heard as cows were enjoying the new herbs and grass on the mountain slopes and valleys.  This group were being taken to a new pasture and nearby we spotted a poor three legged calf that was much smaller than its twin and further on saw goats grazing and sheep with bells.  We also saw some strange looking llamas that reminded me of the way that some poodles used to be shorn.  On two separate days we watched the elusive marmots (a large ground-dwelling squirrel) emerge from their burrows high up on the mountains.
